Паломництво до особливого місця молитви – монастиря Богоявління ГНІХ
У неділю, 9 липня, наші парафіяни здійснили паломництво до монастиря Богоявління ГНІХ у м. Олімпія. Це був чудовий час молитви, спілкування з сестрами-монахинями просто неба та єднання з Богом у монастирській тиші.
Розпочався день із Божественної Літургії у каплиці, яку очолив о. Андрій Олійник у співслужінні з о. Лоуренсом.
«Монастир – це особливе місце молитви, де небо зустрічається із землею. А молитва – це наш шлях до неба. Приватна молитва може бути трьох типів: словесна молитва, медитація та контемпляція (молитва в мовчанці). Кожен з них важливий, адже створює унікальне єднання між людиною і Господом Богом» – наголосив о. Андрій під час проповіді.
Після Літургії, паломники мали сімейний пікнік на території монастиря. Також була можливість посповідатися.
Далі також спільно з сестрами-монахинями молилися акафіст до Пресвятої Богородиці перед іконою «Живоносне джерело».
За словами о. Лоуренса, ікона була написана у Константинополі. На ній зображена Діва Марія та баптистерій у якому сидить Ісус. Вона нагадує нам, що у хрещенні ми помираємо для себе, а народжуємося для Христа.
Акафіст молилися за перемогу, мир і спокій в Україні, за наших воїнів та українців по всьому світу.
По завершенні залишився час на приватну молитву в мовчанці у храмі чи на території монастиря.

Pilgrimage to the Special Place of Prayer – Holy Theophany Byzantine Catholic Monastery
On Sunday, July 9, our parishioners embarked on a remarkable pilgrimage to the Holy Theophany Byzantine Catholic Monastery in Olympia. It was a truly awe-inspiring experience, filled with prayer, meaningful conversations with the sisters, and a profound sense of unity with God amidst the monastery’s peaceful silence.
The day commenced with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy in the chapel, led by Father Andrii Oliinyk and Father Laurence. During his sermon, Father Andrii shared, ” This is a beautiful time to be together with God and with one another. The monastery is a sacred place of prayer, where the heavens touch the earth. Prayer takes various forms: verbal prayer, meditation, and contemplation (silent prayer). Each of these forms is essential as it establishes a unique bond between humans and God.”
Following the liturgy, the pilgrims enjoyed a delightful family picnic and engaged in conversations with the nun sisters. Additionally, everyone had the opportunity to receive the sacrament of confession.
Later, all the pilgrims, along with the nun sisters, gathered before the “Life-giving source” icon to pray the Akathist to the Holy Mother of God. Father Laurence explained that this icon carries deep significance, as it represents the baptismal font containing both the Holy Mother of God and Jesus. It serves as a reminder that we must relinquish our old selves and be reborn in Christ.
The prayers focused on victory, peace, and tranquility in Ukraine, as well as for the well-being of the Ukrainian military and all Ukrainians worldwide.
At the end of the pilgrimage, everyone had the opportunity to private prayer in silence at the church or on monastery territory.
